This project holds particular significance as it was the first professional company website Alfonso Cartes built after completing university studies. It provided an invaluable hands-on learning experience in real-world web development, covering everything from client requirements gathering and visual design to deployment and long-term maintenance. The site has been up and running reliably for over a decade, a testament to the solid foundational work put into its architecture and hosting configuration.
Technical Architecture
The website was developed using a straightforward yet effective technology stack that was well-suited for the project’s requirements at the time. The front end was built with semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with jQuery handling dynamic interactions and DOM manipulation. Kickstart CSS was chosen as the front-end framework to provide a responsive grid system and pre-built UI components, enabling a polished and professional appearance without the overhead of larger frameworks.
